Influences

Well, Numero Uno was and is God, the Holy Spirit, and the Lord Jesus. And then some other people. I grew up listening to Beatles' records playing all the time. My folks played their favorite popular music, so there was a lot of music. Also major influences were Pink Floyd, Styx,the Motown sound, top 40 radio, Deep Purple, CSNY, Emerson/Lake/Palmer, Yes, Guess Who, Jethro Tull, The Who, James Gang, Mountain, Grand Funk, Doobie Bros., Steely Dan, Elton John, early REO and Moody Blues. Later there was Andrae Crouch, Keith Green, Annie Herring, Kansas/Kerry Livgren/AD, Toto, Michael Omartian, 80's music, Petra, Lamb (Messianic Music), and of course my hero, Phil Keaggy. Also, I can't forget the choirs I sang in thru high school and college, and for Mr. Barlow's Music Appreciation (high school) class. And Yes, I do listen to today's music., |

I sound like -- ME! Unique and Original Spiritual and Inspirational Rock, of the progressive variety, with elements of classic rock. I also believe the music should be played skillfully, and is as equally important as the message., |

What do I like?
I love rock prog rock, rockandroll, classic rock, jazz, R&B, 80's music, electronica, acoustic, some classical. I even like some prog country and alternative. Yes, I think you should check out the 77's. One of the best that was ever out there. I love great guitar soloists like David Gilmour and Phil Keaggy. Saw Phil in concert a few years ago at the Orpheum and he was just phenomenal. I enjoy great keyboards and runs and love to play and sing my music. Also the drums and bass.

Beautiful Mind, Shanghai Noon/Shanghai Knights, Polar Express, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (better ending) The Aviator, Looney Tunes Back in Action Batman Begins (in my opinion the best movie of 2005 and the best of the Batman movies) Narnia, and ALL the Star Trek movies.

It is vitally important to have a large, healthy and correct worldview, to live in this world and be successful. One of the most necessary things to know is your purpose on planet earth. Many people have not discovered theirs yet, many have yet to fulfill their purpose. Tried life without God's power, and failed. Life works much better with Him at the helm, no matter what kind of music you're cranking. I believe one of my main jobs is to be the best person I can be, and to be a catalyst for change and benefit to as many people as possible.
