Living On The Venus Express is the first and eagerly anticipated solo album offering from Spoonface, an album which highlights his true vocal capabilities. With a sophisticated blend of acoustic folk/pop and a hint of reggae influence, this album’s appeal aims at a wide and diverse spectrum of listener.
Spoonface had his first taste of international recording success as Black Legend with his reworking of the Barry White classic “You See The Trouble With Me” reaching No. 1 in the UK and selling over 2 million copies.
His distinctive vocals make him instantly recognizable and provide the uniqueness that commands a strong following from his loyal fan base, as well as the appreciation and respect from fellow musicians.
He has collaborated with numerous renowned artists from varying genres, and presently enjoys success in the UK and Europe with a number of dance projects including Floor Boogie act Ear Dis. Living On The Venus Express glorifies the true depth of his ability.

Well after sum time of being Barry White Getting Electronic and singing about female genitalia over hard kicks and snares..
I end up writing an album about love...and I dont biznizz...
Its not 'See the trouble with me' its not dance music its not bassline, its not house monkey funky or otherwise...
Its slow down tempo as hell acoustic music with me gently splashing my voice and my choices all over it...
Its me tellin' and asking a little bit about myself and how I deal with people.
I dedicate it to my Grand ma that passed away when I was about 17. I never cried at the funeral and for years I wondered why and I asked my self why for years...
'See Me Now' is the choon that deals with that for me...
I wondered if all the generations of Caribbean/African people that came to England and dealt with no blacks no dogs no Irish...
If those people that passed away from that generation if they could see us now... if they would be proud of where we're at an what we've achieved...
If they felt that they found what they came to this country to find.
More specifically if my very strange at times menthol cigarette smoking, 'lick you in your head with a wooden spoon' grand ma would be proud of the steps i'm making right now in my life...
And of course theres a big up cos without the love she gave me I know I wouldnt have the belief I do in myself to do all the wacky tings that I do...
But without getting too gurly about it.... actually like I said.. I dont bizzniz
check out the Album...
Have a listen to tracks on the myspace page www.myspace.com/spoonface1
Its only about 5 quid because I just want people to hear it and share ...
Well at first then I'm gonna crank the price up...
You can get it directly from FAADA if you have a paypal account (easy to setup)
but if you think i'm gonna take your money and not send you a CD you can get it from
CD baby - http://cdbaby.com/cd/spoonface
I wil continue with the slackness on the electronic bassboogie tunes..
cos I love that too..
But Living on the Venus Express is where its at for me for a while... (and the gurls will think i'm even more buff once they've heard it)
Been great doing the live gigs with Phil Craig and Adrian Curtis... (they played on the album too... propa tings)
much appreciation everytime...
