 About John Hodgson
I started writing and performing music in 1966 aged 11 with Michael Charlton  calling ourselves Purity. In 1975 I joined a rock band called Adamanta Chubb  doing Uriah Heep and Sabbath covers. In 1976 joined a funk/soul band called Erection. Played loads of gigs.
In 1977 re-joined Adamanta Chubb and changed our name to Blitzkrieg Bop. Became involved in the UK punk scene  releasing 3 singles and touring with Slaughter & The Dogs  Ultravox,  Generation X,  X-Ray Spex,  The Adverts,  The Saints,  Menace,  Penetration & Eater.
Split and joined Basczax in 1979  released a single and appeared on Earcom 2 with Joy Division. Made a TV appearance and toured with Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark.
Set up record label Teesbeat and released singles including the debut 45 from heavy metal band Black Rose.
Released a single as The Gynaecologists "The Red Pullover".
Formed Makaton Chat in 1980 and released a single and an album "Strange Beach" in 1983.
Split in 1986 and formed The Skydaddies. Split in 1993 and formed Viva La Diva. Re-formed The Skydaddies in 1995  split again for good in 1999.
Since 1999 I have pursued solo projects  I have assembled a home studio based around a Roland VS2480 24 track and a Roland Fantom X8 DAW.
Have recently signed a new publishing deal with Millbrand Music  and will soon have a stand-alone website dedicated to my music http://www.blitzkriegbop.info
New solo album "Liveyoungdiefast" released September 2007 to universal disdain. Still  I think it's a classic!

Hi John

Just thought I'd drop by and let you know that I have a new song for you to listen to "No More" is the first song to be released on MusicForte from the Time CD. I hope you can find time to listen to it. It is a soft guitar ballad which about the end of a relationship.

Best Wishes
John

Hi John

How's things going back home. I will be up there soon spending some quality time with my family. It is good to see my nephew folloing in my footsteps. At the age of only 13 he has already been in the local paper for his guitar playing.

What you may have missed!

Just added "When Death Divides" I wrote this song after losing my Aunty Bet. I loved her very much and she was the closest to me, closer than my own mother. She was a very special person.

Also you might not have heard "I Want You Back"

I hope you like the darker songs so far, from "Where do I Go?" I have featured

"Nothing Goes As Planned" a song about living with poverty and the confusion, the human struggle to survive.

"Man With A Gun" Gave me a lot of positive feedback to which is probably my darkest song yet.

This weeks song is "Always Be The One" which deals with the frustration of keeping your loved one knowing that you do love her."

If you haven't had a chance to listen please do. Next week will feature the last of the songs from "Where Do I Go? as in September I will be featuring songs from the album "Time" which will be available to buy on CD from the middle of next month.

Best wishes
John

Hi John,

Did you know that I am from Hartlepool?
My wife is from Norton?
And the rest of our family live in Ingleby Barwick?

Nice to have you as a friend.

New song added "Man With A Gun". This is one of my personal favourites. Not for everyone! It is seriously dark. The character in this song is definately someone I wouldn't want to meet.

This is the second song from the "Where Do I Go" album, the other was "Nothing Goes As Planned"

Have a great weekend.

John
