EVEN MORE ABOUT GYPSY:
Gypsy is of Irish-Faerie, Scottish & American Indian descent. She believes in God, Goddess, Faeries & true love and doesn't mind wearing her heart on her sleeve. Gypsy loves children, whales, being near the ocean, traveling, reading, poetry, going to movies and cooking. Feeding the hungry worldwide is one of her major goals as well as saving the whales. Gypsy doesn't like sports, guns, violence, violent TV shows or TV in general. You won't catch her watching "Fear Factor"! Gypsy is an old hippie at heart and loves the great singers of the 60's & 70's (Van Morrison, Joni, Marley, Dylan, Lennon). Politics drive her mad so she's learning to bite her tongue.

Gypsy is a uniquely gifted singer-songwriter and published poet. Her musical roots were deeply cultivated by her upbringing. She wrote her first song at the age of five while listening to her mother's "jam sessions" with the likes of Tag Lambert (lead guitarist for Bob Wills) among others. Her mother wrote and recorded country music and her uncle Don Rollins wrote the smash hit "The Race Is On" recorded by George Jones Ricky Nelson and The Grateful Dead. Songwriting is in her blood and in her heart.
After attending Arizona State University as a theatre arts and music major Gypsy went on to audition and was accepted into The National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York. After living in Greenwich Village and singing at local clubs and open mics Gypsy moved to LA to pursue a career in music theatre and film and continued to write songs record demos, do backing vocals on other artists' projects and act in commercials music videos and films. In 1995 Gypsy was invited to join the pop trio Angels of Ecstasy (with Astrid Plane formerly of Animotion) and Kelly Sullivan. She and Kelly then went on to form Zuzu's Petalz performing their original music in local LA clubs before Gypsy went solo in 1999.
Gypsy's debut album entitled "Heart of a Traveling Wind" is flavored with the distinct guest performances of many talented musicians including guitarists, Ed Tree (Spencer Davis Group Rita Coolidge), Jason Grisell, and Rich Sheldon (Rebel Soul Band); bassists Martyn LeNoble (Jane's Addiction The Cult, Scott Weiland) and Tony Sales (Tin Machine); and drummers Rick Shlosser (Van Morrison Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt) and David Palmer (Rod Stewart). Gypsy's influences include Joni Mitchell Van Morrison, Loreena McKennitt, Nick Drake, Maria McKee, Jewel, Dido, Shania Twain, Bob Marley and many others. Gypsy's songs are essentially her poems set to music with lilting breathy and melancholy vocals amidst a folky-pop backdrop of music. She is currently in the studio recording songs for her second LP performing limited local engagements at festivals and is planning a European club tour in the Spring of 2006.
