I had my own label in the '70s called "Jim Colyer Records."
Jim Colyer's Interests
General
I first came to Nashville in 1975 to get a degree from Vanderbilt. I met my wife and son's mother there in 1978. Our son, Michael Brandon Colyer, was born in Nashville in 1984. Divorce followed, and I returned to Louisville to live with my parents the next 12 years. Michael grew up, and I returned to Nashville. He is 21 now and studying business at MTSU in Murfreesboro.
Music
I have wrtten 400 songs. It took me 40 years. My best work came in my 50s after returning to Nashville. Influenced by Shania Twain I cranked out female lyrics and recorded a dozen girl singers. I finally recorded "Save The Planet." It is my finest piece and the one I want to be remembered for.
Movies
My 100 favorite movies are at my website:

Television
I appear regularly on the Ron Coogle show in Louisville Kentucky. I will be on in January with Karen Wischmeier. Karen will perform "All Roads Lead To You." I will sing "Sing The Planet."
I keep one foot in the liberal world and one foot in the conservative world. I am a live and let live guy who believes in freedom. There is enough room for each one of us to do his or her thing as long as we do not hurt anyone.
