K.1(J.F.K.) was born Kristopher LaRock on Dec. 30th 1982 in St. Paul Minnesota. His mother relocated him to Central New York at age 1 where he would eventually begin writing poetry and rap lyrics 11 years later. After graduating in 2001 K.1 started the label F.U. Enta’tainment with long time friends Pro Links and Seven-Thirty. For 3 years F.U. Ent. independently recorded and released several underground mixtapes,and distributed them across the CNY region. In 2005 K. Combined forces with Knowa and 9th Dynasty Records the Hampton, Virginia based independent label where he currently focuses his attention to producing his own material as well as other indie artists. His solo debut album, Tha Calm Before Tha Storm was released in early 2006 under 9th Dynasty Records/F.U. Enta’tainment produced by K. LaRock and Pro Links.
