Background: Born Clarence E. Lewis November 27, 1982, in Rochester, New York, I developed a love for music during my earlier childhood years. I originally started singing in my community’s Baptist gospel choir at the age of 4 where I demand and dominated the ears of the congregation. From the age of 4-10 I lead the youth choir and was often recognized as the little boy with the big voice. As I blossomed into my preteens I noticed a change in my voice not knowing this was a gift I proceeded to play the drums to avoid being on stage. As I grew older the love for melodies slowly faded due to my engulfment into the street life. Because of the harsh reality of not only Rochester but the world in whole I began putting my everyday thoughts into lyrical form also known as “rapping”. Eventually I became one of the most locally influential rappers in the Rochester area. I was challenged one day by my sister to compose and perform an R&B song knowing my versatility, I accepted the challenge and put together a heart soaking love song. In 2001 that challenge brought back my love for melodies with a mixture of soulful lyrics and real life visualization through my words. Thus evolving June into one amazing story that you have to hear over and over because every time you hear me you hear something new and something different. June.
