Hello Everyone! My name is Monterrius Thomas but known as Monte. I am a 15 year old r&b artist. And I am very musical talented. I play the drums piano (still learning), bass guitar (still learning) and the baritone. I also rap dance, and produce. I started out when I was 4. I use to sing in the church choir. I started leading songs at the age of 5. Then I started playing the drums. It carried on until I was 7 then I started dancing. I loved to break dance. Then it went to rapping at the age of 9. I didnt take it to seriously until someone told me God gave me multiple gifts which all fits into one. And that is the sound of music. I started writing poems about my life when I was 10. I use to move alot and I moved to some places I didnt like so I always wrote about that or things that happen to me. And then I started singing one day. And it came to me that maybe I should try to sing one of my poems. So I picked one up and it was about this girl. It was called "So Lovely". And when I did it I showed it to all my cousins and they liked it. They told me I should recorded which I never though of but I tried it. It didnt work out too good. I had to wait until I hit 14 to record to let my voice mature a little bit so i held on to the song hoping one day something would happen. And it did. My dad bought me a microphone for my computer. It was a dynamic. And i cherished that thing with everything I had. So I got on the computer and found me an instrumental. And i picked out the beat to "My Baby" by Bow Wow. So I matched the song up with the beat and started learning as I wrote. I learned about the hook and chorus and bridge and things like that. So I just re-wrote the whole thing and it came to be a myspace hit when I recorded it with my first microphone. It had a total of 100,101 plays on it in all. Everybody came to love that song. So then I started going foward with the music thing and started meeting producers and other rappers and getting in the studio. I recorded my 1st complete demo when I hit 15. It was a great experience for it being my 1st time in the studio. So now im still 15 and I am about to be 16 in May. Just looking for an oppurtunity to prove to each and every one of you reading this that I can be that next Superstar! |
