"Some of the must memorable meetings and friendships I made while in L.A. include: Alex Haley Little Richard, Ed Townsend, Maurice White, Philip Bailey, Johnny Otis, David II, Fred Wesley and Ricky Minor." Besides working as a session player Michael also Co-Produced an album on Mary Love to whom he was married and wrote songs with. He worked as a Musical Director Copyist, Songwriter, Publisher (Lovenson Music), Producer (Stevenson-Love Productions) and Epic Records Recording Artist with the band The Dr.s' (Album entitled Rx 1).

It was through a recording project with another group (as bassist and lead guitarist) that Michael met Ken Sutton of WaterFall Records. Dwight Young later joined that group as its bassist relieving Michael of that aspect freeing him to only concentrate on his roles as the lead and rhythm guitarist/lead and background vocalist/arranger/producer/musical director. Mike Davis came on board as the drummer and vocalist and thru Mike; vocalist Alison Gardin.
Ken and Michael continued their relationship which grew into a plan to unite and to move forward in a partnership that blossomed into the next version of WaterFall Records the creation of Labyrinth and DummyDog Productions.
Michael recognized the talent experience and potential that Dwight Mike and Alison possessed and suggested bringing them into the fold which leads to the current state of Labyrinth.
