In 2001 after a trip that George Karidakiss and Nancy Kontouri had in England,guests of Phil Paskett (Phreak Music produser),
They decided to form a music group..
So they created Ouzo The Band.
CD called ''In Tune Rio mare'' (They chose this tunning because it is also delicious). The CD had and still has (it's not dead yet)
songs with Greek and English lyrics as well as some cover songs.
Since in Greece non of the Labels we tryied to approach bothered with our CD for real we decided to destribute it for free.
After a series of Live apearences in colaboration with various musicians - in several places in Athens (Decadence - Mike's Irish - An Club)
George and Nancy recorded (from March till July 2004) a double CD with the omonymus title Ouzo The Band (only English lyrics).
The songs include anecdote lyrics
adapted in English (the man and the...?) lyrics about the tragic terrorist hit of the train in Spain (The News) and all the lyrics of the song "Colaz" are
names of various bands.
Cd Psychedelic Summer was Made in the summer of 2004 and is Chill Out music
In general we have no style (in the sense the word has taken nowadays) we write spontaneously, avoid "klises" and all of the above in an 80's sence of mood.

Karidakiss Georgios
Has Studied Harmony Kontrapunkt, Fuge,
And got his diploma in Classical Composition at 2004
He studies a new style that he invented,
'The Polytonal'
Kontouri Nancy
(soprano leggera lyrico-spinta,coloratura) got her Dyploma in Melodramatic Monody (classical singing & Opera) in 2005.
