Papaduck was born Wegans George. He was raised on the streets of Belle Glade Florida, a migrant community watching many of his friends self-destruct. He was on the same path being kicked out of schools hanging with the wrong crowd and failing classes until one day his oldest brother pulled him aside and showed him the truth about living a thug life. It was at this point in Papaduck’s life that he vowed to rise up out of his oppressed surroundings to become a better man. At the age of 15 he took money that his mother gave him to purchase school clothes and headed straight for the pawn shop to buy his first keyboard. From that moment on his Mother and family gave their complete support in his efforts to become a pioneer for change in the Rap Music Industry.
In 1995 not only was Papaduck writing his own raps but he was producing his own beats. Over the past eleven years he has perfected his skills of writing producing and engineering to create a unique style that offers something for everyone. For this young man who was headed for that Gangsta life taking pride in sending the positive message that there is NO HONOR in gang banging killing or serving 30 year jail sentences is his primary mission.
In his CD Life Is What It Is Papaduck speaks directly and honestly about life issues. He does not hold back the truth as he confronts and addresses problems in the black community. His second CD entitled Muck City has gained mass popularity throughout the South East as Papaduck drops the latest rhymes keeping his audiences wanting more. Welcome To My Hood was released in 2005 and features more tracks that tell the true story about Papaduck’s life. Within the last 6 months to his credit, Papaduck and his team have sold more than 50,000 copies of Welcome To My Hood in Florida. He has also produced more than nine albums in the last five years for various local artists using the MPC Drum Machine Yamaha Motif, Roland Fantom keyboard and various sound modules.
With the release of his new self titled CD that is equally as powerful and positive as his other three CDs. He's seeing great success in the stae of Florida. This CD includes beats Papaduck engineered and wrote himself along with some unique special effects that he will keep a secret until the release party. Papaduck is a definite total package investment combining skills of writing producing and engineering to create the ultimate mix of Hip-Hop sounds that rock night clubs and radios stations across the South East |
