{satellite-state} formed in Guildford Surrey in late 2005 and have continually attracted attention fantastic reviews and fans since then. In early 2007 {satellite-state} made the final stages of the 3 First Cut Awards national band competition and got through to the final 16 from the 2000+ bands that entered. This along with national Radio airplay and support from Radio One DJ’s legends Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens shows that the force driving {satellite-state} is getting bigger all the time.
Summer 2007 saw {satellite-state} play the biggest show of their career to date with a headline slot the Surrey Advertiser Stage at Guilfest - one of the UK’s most respected festivals. The band played to a jam-packed tent and received an incredible reaction and gained many new fans as well as pleasing their hardcore fans.
To try and summarize {satellite-state} is difficult but they wear their varied influences on their sleeves proudly and produce life affirming moving original music. With their debut e.p and tour planned for early 2008 get on board now for it will be a fantastic journey.
