Who would of known that a 24 yr. old native of Columbia SC would travel the depths this man has traveled; yet still strive to make it so far. For rap phenom PhD (Terrell Anderson), first born son to Robert Lee Anderson and mother Letitia G. Anderson life wasn't always worth discussing with the public. Growing up without a father figure in the house made this young man follow the streets as the guiding light to his survival while constantly being aware of a struggling mother at home. He found himself inside the maze so many of our black youths go through today. His mother gave birth to him a little sister Nyiesha Anderson, but before she could enter middle school PhD was being tangled inside the court systems trying to live life with the reckless abandonment of a teenager. Music was always his dream though and nothing could seem to take that away from him. In his track " A New World" from the Grade "A" Mixtape PhD boasts soulfully( "fall of 1982 I was destined to bruise/ now I hurt a hater vision when they stare at the shoes/ collaborating wit executives to make a few ends/ right now is perfect timing for a gangsta to win/ ) . He lets you know from the beginning Hip Hop is his claim to fame. PhD loves all genres of music and hopes one day to be alongside the greats of the game. With 10 years of experience at 24 any thing is possible. PhD has recently had the opportunity to claim a little more bragging rights in his drug of choice: accomplishments. Indie Street magazine a promotional magazine company ran in the south region has recently named him " On the Come Up" in there next issue of publication and why might you ask? Well maybe after collaborating with the South Cak's State Champ DJ Frosty to release the first "Grade "A" Mix tape" quickly caught a fire in the street that the young man kept his cool and form his own entertainment label 4th Element Ent. to constantly do what other artists in his area mostly don't do and that is think outside the box. PhD noticed by the hits on his my space page that people in foreign countries loved his style of music. For that fact PhD hooked up with well known UK mix tape messiah DJ Ames to appear on the "UK-US takeover vol.2" and the "UK-US We Ain't Playin " mix tapes to be distributed mostly in the United Kingdom. PhD's biggest dream is to become an international success. His new single "Get Dat Money" proves this star is in the making. While not being shy with his forwardness PhD displays an attracting demeanor to all ladies but still showing an unconditional love for the women in the club. DJ's are digging the hit and he's even inside on the ring tone game so what else can we expect from the veteran newcomer from the south? |
