Sydney Skyler Music is a music publishing company based in Fargo ND. It was originally formed by Ramon & Melicia Gonzalez to promote and sell their own original songs. After seeing the need for a publishing company that was willing to listen assist and promote songs written by songwriters not within the Nashville songwriting network they decided to expand their operations to include other aspiring songwriters.
Ramon has been a part of the music business for over 35 years as a singer keyboardist, and fiddler. He has performed all across the United States. Ramon has performed with several name acts in several different genres. From Conway Twitty Blackhawk, and Gary Alan, to Marshall Tucker, and Joan Jett. He has been a well respected part of the music community for many years.
Born and raised in Sterling IL, Ramon started playing piano at the tender age of three. At seven he was the first in his area to start playing violin. A couple years later the school system added orchestra to the curriculum. Ramon studied both instruments all through high school. At sixteen Ramon joined his first band Country Breeze. It didn’t take long for him to decide this was his future. In 1985 Ramon moved to the east coast joining a top 40 variety/dance band. Throughout the rest of the eighties and into the nineties he made a name for himself all over Virginia the Carolina’s, and all along the eastern seaboard. Returning to Country music in 1998 Ramon toured nationwide with Stampede. Ramon and his wife formed Sydney Skyler Music in 2002. Whenever he was near Nashville Ramon would spend time pitching songs and making contacts. 2006 saw the end of Stampede and a relocation to Fargo ND. Now with The Great Outdoors Ramon still performs all over the Midwest. He has turned his focus to advancing the careers of other aspiring songwriters throughout the country.
