www.soulcoremusic.ws for more from Hayden Stacpoole.
Started my music with learning trumpet at school at age 10.
At 14 we started a Punk Rock band at school called 'maggotted monkey' and after an initial change of guitarist and name to 'No Comply' we started to get a few gigs at parties and then at local shows.
We had gone into the studio and started getting a couple of good gigs in Brisbane when our drummer had to leave the band because of arthritis in his wrists He was just 17. Although we got another drummer the rhythm section just was not the same and as a couple of us had started working the band just came to a slow death.
I was lead singer and bassist and wrote most of our material. We played mostly our own songs but did a couple of covers as well. My dad reckons he was really blown away with our version of "Sweet Home Alabama"
So now I am concentrating on my last year of my apprenticeship as a cabinet maker learning more about music theory my dad teaches, you can see his website at www.stacpoolemusic.ws and learning guitar as well as piano. I have started writing again after a lapse of about 2 years so soon hope to be promoting some new material on this site.
