"The entire culture of Hip-Hop and Hip-Hop Soul from the birth until now. We don't care about sounding like last month's Top Twenty. We might put out any kind of record and they still reach the fans" - Dave Starwalker, |

The world has a spell on it called greed. Greed is not only perpetrated through the exchange of money, it's the hunger for power over others. We are hungry to feed our egos for the purpose of fueling our self-esteem, and at the same time stepping on a fellow man making him or her down inside and out. We become self -centered with our bling and picket fences and forget about poor people and little kids of the world who can't get up no matter how hard they try. We should enjoy our earnings, but once we are filthy rich we need to share with them.

Dave Starwalker started in a city called "Hoptown" Hopkinsville KY back in 1984 with his partner Lamont Finch (respectively deceased). The two would dee-jay at Lamont's mother's home and throw house parties when were permitted. They saw that they both shared a love for rapping dee-jaying, and break dancing. Together and along with their other partner "Poochie" Corey Quarles they formed a trio that dominated the local rap and beatbox scene. Dave Starwalker produced and arranged the group's activities. After their trio days ended due to interest in education and sports education was important, Lamont went on to attend college in Illinois Poochie started a paving business and Dave Starwalker continued his journey to build his own entertainment empire one day. In the year 2000 he teamed up with Big Face Records Exec. Monsta Chuck to create "The Hoptown Boyz" which disbanded after two albums. Their first release "Get It How Ya Live" debuted at number 2 on local store charts which was well heard throughout the region between Kentucky and Tennessee mainly. With 118,000 copies sold to date. After being released from contract with Big Face Records Starwalker invested his royalties into forming Penaca Records which is the label that is launching and promoting his new cd "Planet Crunk". Other artists are signed under Penaca Records including "Chrome" who brought a regional hit in 2002 with "Walk It Like A Dog". Chrome now working on an upcoming release "Mr. Get At Me". With a powerhouse production team and a line of seasoned young artists Mr. Starwalker won't be putting out anything that's not worth paying for. |
