My favorites are great piano players: Elton John, Billy Joel, Jerry Lee Lewis, Dr. John. But I'm also very influenced by Phil Keaggy, B.B. King and Eric Clapton. I love blues like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and John Lee Hooker.

I currently use a Roland RS9 and mostly Shure mics. I use a Korg D16XD track hard disk recorder for recording and mixing which provides 16 tracks to record and 128 virtual tracks, linked to my computer where I run Sonar for editing.

My favorite albums are Bob Dylan's "Highway 61 Revisited" and "Slow Train Coming" albums as well as Elton John's "Tumbleweed Connection" album. I view these as three of the best produced albums of all time and like to immulate their arrangment style on most of my own stuff.

Flying Frog Studio is a portable 16 track studio with 128 virtual tracks making it possible to record a variety of bands and choral groups. I have a number of quality mics and instruments. I can either come and set up at the place your band practices or you can come and record at my studio.
I charge $20/hour to record + $0.35/mile for milage. I also give to gospel artists and bands (i.e. classic R&B type gospel) one free demo recording.
Flying Frog Studios also specializes in Film Scoring for independant filmmakers. Our rates are quite reasonable at $350 per film. This price includes a score performed by a band or solo instruments (I'm not equiped to provide orchestral scoring at this time) and a hard copy of the score on CD or DVD. For an additional $300 we can provide a mix of your video and audio.
